John Calvin Messerschmidt, USNR, US Naval Air Facility, Roosevelt Field CONUS, Seabees. John entered active military service on 18 June 1943 with service number 878 65 57. Assigned to Construction Bn. USNCTC, earning his CB insignia . Discharged 1 Nov 49, but reentered active service in the USAF on 8 Dec to 12 September 53. He was born 4 Nov 1925 in Marshfield West, WI and died 24 September 2000.
