285: TWO EARLY 20TH CENTURY APPLIQUE QUILTS

1. A red, green and yellow tulips quilt, nine large appliqued blocks surrounded by an undulating green vine with flowers, nicely quilted with large feather wreaths in the white background, red binding, white backing.

2. Sixteen large flower basket blocks in an unusual color combination of green and orange, pieced and applique techniques. hand quilted. green and orange border strips, orange binding, white backing.
Measures 98 x 90 and 78 x 82 inches.
Tulips quilt is good condition noting some scattered holes and tattered binding. Green and orange quilt shows some fading, very faint transfer of the orange baskets into some of the white background while folded, scattered stains.
