The US Model 1816 flintlock pistol circa 1816-1820 manufactured by Simeon North of Middletown, CT, marks of US, with eagle, and 'S. NORTH, MIDLN CON' on lock plate, stamped P and US near the breech. Simeon North has been referred to as the first official pistol maker in the United States.
Measures 6 x 15.5 x 2 inches.
Very good condition, good flintlock operation, intact mechanism, silver grey iron surfaces, nice wood patina, there are no issues of damage or repair.
