13: AN IRON TURKEY SHOOTING GALLERY TARGET SIGNED WURFFLEIN

The circa 1900 cast iron silhouette figure of a turkey with central bullseye opening backed by an iron gong, overall oxidation with hints of black on the figure and white on the embossed bullseye. This is the only known example of this target to date and cannot be found in any available Wurfflein catalogs. Signed 'Wurfflein Philad' in the casting back side. This is the only example the Tuckers have seen or heard of in their 30 years of collecting.

In times past, a turkey shoot at a festive gathering was a marksmanship contest involving live turkeys.
Displayed on custom iron stand.
Measures 11 x 22.5 inches, excluding stand.
Very good condition, noting oxidation overall. There are no issues of damage or repair.
