153: A SPREAD WING EAGLE GALLERY TARGET ATTR TO A.J. SMITH

This thick iron silhouette of an eagle with central concentric ring target and folky lines is attributed to the Chicago shooting gallery target manufacturer A.J. Smith. A similar example is illustrated in a Smith catalog listed as part number 1.

Displayed on custom iron stand.
Measures 15.5 x 12.25 inches, excluding stand.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear. The surface is has a great patina of nice, clean, smooth and aged iron with only sparse remnants of white park paint on the bullseye and the edges.
