46: A RARE U.S. 29-STAR IOWA STATEHOOD FLAG CIRCA 1847

The small 29-star United States flag in medallion star arrangement with thirteen stripes, blue and red printed on white glazed cotton.

The 29-Star Flag became the official U.S. flag in 1847 with the addition of Iowa on December 28th, 1846. It served for a little over one year when Wisconsin became a state on May 29th, 1848.
Flag measures 7 x 9.5 frame measures 13 x 15.5 x 2 inches.
Very good condition, noting light toning and foxing. Chips and scuffs on the frame.
