72: A RARE FOUR-PIECE HOPALONG CASSIDY BEDROOM SET

The rare and distinctive mid 20th century bedroom set offered here with a pair of chenille spreads can be configured as bunk beds or as two twin beds and still has its four original bed post caps to complete the twin bed arrangement. The chest has an applied ornamental plaque of Hoppy on Topper with lasso in desert landscape, the dresser has a covered wagon, each piece has matching form and cut-out base skirt with rustic twist pulls, the mirror is in the form of a horseshoe in yoke, the beds have wagon wheel ends. A pair of Hopalong Cassidy chenille bed spreads (with stains) is included.

This set was purchased right out of the upstairs bedroom of a home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri approximately 30 years ago.
The bedside table measures 28 x 15 x 13 inches, chest 45h x 31w x 17 d and dresser 40 x 78 inches.
Surprisingly good condition, there are no signs of heavy wear, abuse, damage or repair. The finish has fade and minor loss one one side of bed end and top of night stand.
