713: A FRENCH 'VICTORIA' FIGURAL MYSTERY CLOCK AFTER PICAULT

The sculpture of a dynamic figure with sword in full stride previously created by Emile Louis Picault (183-1915) now presented in patinated spelter on red with green mottled marble base, the figure bearing circular mark of Fabrication France, Paris, the free-swinging ball clock with Roman numerals on toned brass with ornate hands with gridiron pendulum suspended from X-form assembly.
Measures 18.5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear. The running condition has not been definitively ascertained, the movement is intact and assumed to be in order to run successfully.
