359: A FINE AND ATTRACTIVE PERSIAN SAROUK HAND MADE RUG

The unpainted red field with a central blue flower head medallion radiating cruciform flowering plants framed by curvilinear bracket vines issuing small flower heads, supported by mirrored flowering plants, within a blue border enclosing continuous meandering curvilinear vines issuing palmettes, flower heads and leaves in lustrous wool dyed with deep, well saturated colors in wool on cotton foundation, circa 1920s.
Measures 62 x 39 inches.
Very fine condition. Clean and odor free with intact edges, and end skirts, no damage, repair or stain, good pile overall with no marked low areas or foundation.
