612: A RARE E.N. WELCH ROSEWOOD CASE REGULATOR NO 2

The upper dial enclosed in rosewood veneered frame over rectangular drop with stepped lower bracket, the 16-inch painted metal dial fronting an eight day time and strike movement, flocked black back board, ebonized pendulum stick with brass bob.
Measures 52 x 22 x 5.5 inches.
Intact running condition at the time of inspection. We cannot guarantee the running or timekeeping condition of timepieces once removed from the auction premises. The case with old finish and imperfections, considerable repairs to the veneer of the frame surrounding the dial, the center of the dial has been repainted, the second hand is missing. the glass is of the period and presumably original.
