The stoneware jug with sloping shoulder and thick freehand cobalt blue slip decoration of an American Eagle with thirteen star federal shield and the initials E.A.M. 1831, decorative slip flourishes, salt glaze, impressed mark of E.A. MONTELL, OLEAN, NY. with blue highlight.
Measures 12 x 7 inches.
Very good condition, noting a sizable chip at the mouth. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs.
