317: TWO GOOD ANTIQUE CAUCASIAN RUGS INCL PERIPIDIL MAT

Two good antique rugs with wear, the larger being a nice Caucasian rug with perfectly drawn field of diamonds and half-diamonds filled with a variety of geometric and other devices surrounded by an ivory white border with leaves and tuning fork design.

Plus a Caucasian Kuba mat with guard borders of stylized flower heads and a wide archaic border, considerable edge loss.

Each rug circa 1880s.
Measure 36 x 31 and 52 x 43 inches.
Good worn condition, edge loss to the smaller mat, dry and dusty, no major damage or repair, no hardened areas or major issues.
