The 19th century (or earlier) example with bronze mounts and overhanging marble top above the case with two lower doors below the drop front writing surface that reveals an interior with exotic woods and other materials embellishing the six drawers and shelf divisions.
Measures 56 x 37.5 x 15.25 inches.
Good condition noting veneer loss and other effects of wood shrinkage limited to the lower doors, plus a replacement on the back side upper case, scattered bits of wear and minor effects of age and use. There are no other issues of damage or repair.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
