71: AN EXCEPTIONAL 19TH CENTURY LOUIS XV STYLE PANETTIERE

The nine turned wood finials large and small decorating the arched sides and peaked front of the spindled case of multi-serpentine form with a rare lower drawer over slatted floor and curvilinear scroll-cut apron upon cabriole whorl-and-hoof legs. The finials, drawer, patina, carvings and serpentine form of this example sets it apart from the vast majority.
Measures 49.25 x 33 x 19 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, sun fade to the back side only.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
