24: A GOOD ANTIQUE SHIRVAN LESGHI STAR RUG CIRCA 1870s

The navy blue field with a column of three large stepped Lesghi medallions supported by star filled octagons within a red border having continuous angular vines linking flower heads supported by diamond lozenges.
Measures 55 x 34 inches.
Very good condition, one small hole repair on one edge, wear to the oxidized browns, intact original sides and ends, good even pile, no pet stain, odor or hardened areas, dry and dusty with surface debris.
