131: A PAIR OF CARVED EMU EGGS IN METAL MOUNTS CIRCA 1900

Each Australian Emu egg carved in cameo relief mounted in white metal with fern fronds on standard and ebonized base, one carved with emu, the other with a kangaroo. each with a glass dome.
Measure 13.5 x 6.5 and 12 x 7 with the domes. Eggs are 5 inches each.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
