393: A PAIR 19TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL CARVED IVORY PLAQUES

The matching pair of Renaissance Revival frames enclosing two different depictions carved in relief: one being after the painting of the Presentation of Marie de' Medici's Portrait to Henry IV after Peter Paul Rubens, the other possible an allegory of Mercury delivering the infant Bacchus.
Measure 10 x 7 inches each.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear with the exception of one small nick on the extreme outer edge of the top proper left corner of the plaque pictured right side.
