95: A FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE ORMOLU AND ALABASTER CLOCK

The fine 19th century time and strike clock movement with brass plates signed F. Pelissier and fronted by a porcelain enamel dial with hand painted Arabic numeral chapter ring embellished with colorful floral garlands, original ornate gold hands. The lyre form case with female face in sunburst atop the figural lyre standing on fluted socle atop an oval alabaster platform with inlaid frieze of laurel ribbon, all raised on four toupie feet.
Measures 27.5 x 12 x 7.5 inches.
Very good condition, free from damage, repair or heavy wear, there are no chips, hairline cracks or repairs to the dial. Very good intact running condition at the time of inspection. We cannot guarantee the running or timekeeping condition of timepieces once removed from the auction premises.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
