268: CAROLINE CHAPMAN'S 1833 CROSS STITCH SAMPLER WITH DEER

The early 19th century sampler with rows of letters and numerals above verse and intricate trees either side of a recumbent stag - all retaining bold brown, green and gold colors.
Measures 16 x 14 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, light toning, intact, no other visible stain, no damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
