310: AN APRICOT FROSTED GLASS POWDER BOX ATTR AS R. LALIQUE

The circular frosted and patinated glass covered box with embossed molded decoration of dancing female figures among wreaths of laurel surrounding the figures, around the rim of the lid and around the outside of the box along with the lettering of D'ORSAY in relief. Widely known to have been by Lalique during the lifetime of Renee Lalique, these boxes never had the R. Lalique mark.
Measures 1.5 x 3.75 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear. There is an original interior inclusion on the base portion as shown in the last image.
