The intact 'en Route' picnic set comprised of two long containers with rounded end and hinged lid, a boxed condiment set compartmentalized with hand engraved labels of PEPPER SALT MUSTARD on the hinged lids, two blown bottles with polished pontils and leather covers, two leather cups, six pewter plates, silverware case and the leather carrying case debossed EARL OF PORTSMOUTH with crest. Maker's mark of Underwood Cutler Haymaker No. 7 London inside with gold embossing.
Box measures 10.5 x 13 x 5.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear at some edges.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
