The rare and interesting pair with flared tops over a baluster form acanthus carving above an urn with separately carved and applied swags on socle turnings with scroll brackets atop a tripartite base built from three blocks of wood joined by peg construction and carved with alternating panels of flower heads and a fan with fleur des lis, three whorl supports raised on ball-shape or peg-like feet. Clearly some feet are replacements. Which of the feet are replacement has not been determined.
Measure 20.5 x 8 inches each.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear. Some feet have been replaced.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
