142: A HEAVILY DECORATED ART GLASS VASE ATTRIBUTED QUEZAL

(1900 - 1920)
The tall, slender opaque white body formed with waisted neck tapering gracefully to the flared base, intricate green fine-line pulled feather decoration framed in gold, the added feature of gracefully applied tendrils with globular heads finished in matching lustrous gold iridescence with bluish-purple tinge, finely finished pontil without markings, a spurious signature has been added outside the white pontil area. This is widely accepted as being made by Quezal and as such with matching examples selling for more than $5000.
Measures 10 x 4 inches.
Restoration to one short bit of loss to one tendril as shown in the 7th image, otherwise very good condition. There are no other chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
