15: AN ANSONIA 'HANGING ANTIQUE' MODEL OAK CASE WALL CLOCK

The Ansonia Clock Company 'Hanging Antique' model oak case wall clock with bronzed adornments. The Classical influence design includes an ormolu grouping inside the top pediment, a frieze of classical figures just above the embossed brass dial, the dial with white enamel cartouche-shaped Roman chapters, ormolu appliques throughout the case, inside the lower open case area is an embossed classical maiden, the original pendulum continues the classical them with putti in a woodland setting, the original brass-wrapped weights drive the original eight day time and strike movement with gong strike. Very good condition overall, completely original. This clock has never been refinished. With the exception of fine small tips absent from the two top finials, there are no other losses, repairs or damage, every other element is present and in good condition free from repair or heavy wear.
