169: LOUIS XVI AND MARIE ANTOINETTE MINIATURE PORTRAIT PAIR

An exceptional pair of portraits, circa 1890 - 1910 in bronze rectangular frames each crowned with a French flower basket and festoon of floral garland draped at the top corners. The pair includes a painting of Louis XVI (1754 - 1793) in coronation regalia, after the portrait by Antoine-Francois Callet (1741-1823). Measurements of the image are 5.25 x 3.75 inches, the frame measures 10.5 x 8 inches. Plus a painting of Marie Antoinette (1755 - 1793) after the portrait by Madame LeBrun (Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun). Measurements of the image are 5.25 x 4, the frame measures 10.25 x 7.75 inches.
