293: A LATE 19TH C. WHITE MARBLE CLOCK SET WITH ORMOLU

A three piece set comprised of clock and garniture in white marble with ormolu mounts. The clock with applied ormolu festoons and foliate decoration, a classical theme bas relief frieze in the pediment over a double sunk dial with porcelain enamel chapter ring and exposed escapement set with two ruby jewels, four full columns with ormolu capitols and a lower horizontal frieze with classical figures. The clock movement signed Marti. The clock measures 18.5 x 19 x 6.25, garniture measure 12.5 x 7 inches each. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust.
