292: AN EARLY 20TH C. DIRECTOIRE STYLE BERGERE

The arched reeded padded backrest flanked by whorls centering bronzed rosettes continuing to down-sweeping padded arm rests, upright cylindrical arm supports with carved stiff leaf and acanthus terminating on spherical handholds, bronzed berried laurel mount to seat rail, raised on turned legs. Upholstered in cream damask with squab cushion. Measures 39 x 27.5 x 24 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust.
