114: A 20TH C. NAPOLEONIC THEME PLAQUE AFTER GAUTHEROT

A large hand painted plaque after Pierre Gautherot, (1769-1825) Napoleon blesse a Ratisbonne; depicting Napoleon with foot wound from the Battle of Ratisbon on April 23, 1809, as he attempts to mount his horse while being treated by the surgeon Yvan. Signed Mignet lower right in black enamel. Plaque sight size measures 18.25 x 15 inches, frame 19 x 22 inches.
