4: GEORGE CALEB BINGHAM (1811-1879) HAND-COLORED MEZZOTINT

Titled 'Stump Speaking' copyright dated 1856 lower center, 'Painted by G.C. Bingham' lower left, 'Engraved by Gautier' lower right. All of the information typically found on the lower margin of this 19th century print is, in this case, a hand lettered facsimile incredibly reproduced on the backing board to which this print is mounted. The print has no margins but has been trimmed to the image. The original print measures 22.25 x 30.25 inches, the board to which its mounted measures 28.25 x 35.5 inches, frame measures 32.75 x 39 inches. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
A 5-inch crack in the middle of the print has been professionally repaired. Print is laid down on a backing board.
