A glazed earthenware plaque with three frogs, moth, beetle, two other insects all on and in applied grassy earthenware ground, stamped marking back side Mafra Caldao Portugal, circa 1880. Measures 3.25 x 12 inches.

Small chip near one frog's eye, central beetle appears to be missing mandibles, a small chip to the beetle near the rim, and butterfly antennae, very few bits of 'grass' lost, chips to back side rim.
