47: A LATE 19TH C. FRENCH BONZE MOUNTED OAK SCONCE

A shield form fumed oak large mirrored sconce with acanthus surmount and laurel swags each side of the beveled oval plate over bronze satyr mask issuing two foliate arms with beaded bobeche and laurel pattern candle cups with reeded base. Measures 23.5 x 16.5 inches.
Very good original condition overall. Nice patina throughout, particularly in regard to the fumed oak portions. note one separation in the center of the wood back plate.
