354: AN EXHIBITED ANTIQUE AFSHAR PERSIAN BAG FACE WITH BOTEH

The open field with three full exuberant boteh designs in multiple colors and the suggestion of a fourth, six floating flower blossoms, two guard borders and a series of smaller borders framed by an ivory running dog pattern, a finely worked soumak upper skirt and red flat woven skirt below, circa 1900, exhibited in the George O'Bannon exhibition Rugs From Private Collections.
Measures 23 x 23 inches.
Very fine condition. Clean and odor free with intact edges, and ends, no damage, repair or stain, full pile, excellent condition in the pile area, one small area of re-weave in the skirt.
