18: A BURGER AND LANG 19TH C. BLUE DECORATED JUG DATED 1872

The stoneware jug with smartly tooled spout and steep sloping shoulder with thick freehand cobalt blue slip feather or 'ribcage' decoration on the body with date of 1872 and numeral 2, salt glaze, stamped mark of BURGER AND LANG, N.Y. lightly touched in blue.
Measures 14.50 x 9.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs.
