126: A LATE 19C RUSSIAN ICON OF THE KAZANSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD

The embossed brass oklad with corner spandrels and decorative borders, applied crown of rays haloes, the brass covering over painted wood panel, no markings found.
Measures 17.75 x 15 inches.
Very good condition, noting flaking of the paint as shown.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
