The lithograph signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and numbered 14 from an edition of only 50 prints.

Joseph Vorst received three mural commissions during the New Deal, including one in Paris, Arkansas where a mule colt stands in the exact same position as the young mule seen in this composition. The two works have other similarities to one another and many other works by Vorst.
Image is 10 x 14.75 with a sheet of 13 x 18.25 inches.
Very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, stain, puncture or repair; unframed.
